More Grads

Hello crafters....

It's Friday and that means Unity's Linky Party!
They call it FRIENDS WITH FLAIR.

I'm going to share a few more graduation cards...
 in blue this week.

I used some funky blue chevron
washi tape on both cards.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great weekend!

Similar Cards

We were almost a full month late on sending
out a birthday card to my son's friend.
Inside, we tucked an Itunes card.
I love this stamp from Unity,
because lets face it...life gets busy.
Cards get sent out late.
But as folks say "better late than never"!

In the same paper, I made a birthday card.
This rocket is Unity Up Up and Away.

I stamped it in CTMH cranberry,
then colored blue,green, and yellow
with Copic markers.

Many Grads

I've been cranking out the graduation cards,
it's that time of year!  These are all red,
but I have a whole other batch
of blue too (a future post).

So here are some Unity stamp brand creations:

This last one is my favorite!

MOJO 344

I love the MOJO MONDAY blog,
which offers countless layout sketches.

Here is what their #344 looks like:

I decided to make a graduation card
& keep using up old scrap paper.

I never would have dreamt up this design.
But it turnout out kind of fun!
I love the tag idea, and should do it more.
The stamps (sentiment & stars) are Unity.
The tape is Tim Holtz.  I sanded the black
cardstock edges, which is CTMH brand.
I cut the hat out of that "congrats" scrap paper.

It's Your Day

Often time, the simplest cards are my favorite.

These cards use the stamp set by UNITY called Birthday Jubilee.

The hardest part is stamping the words straight!

I used Copic markers to color the "day" and balloon.

The faded dots are sponge inked on through a stencil
by Tim Holtz.  These plastic screens are all the rage.
I've become addicted, that's for sure.

Rooster Stamp

I couldn't resist this amazing rooster stamp from Hobby Lobby.
It has great detail & is so country style.

The brand is Stampabilities.
My sentiment stamp above is from
Close To My Heart.

It doesn't take much to make a cute card
with this stamp!  The sentiment above is also
Close To My Heart. I used two tones of ink
on grid paper, for a basic gender neutral card.

Bird Cards

Lately I've been using a lot of birds on my cards.  It must be a spring thing.  The first card I'm sharing has a distress ink pattern using a stencil.  I used several colors of ink, for a really cool effect. The faint writing is a Tim Holtz script stamp. This dot stencil is Studio 490.

The second card has some big chunky embellishments.  I used Tim Holtz tattered floral die cuts & some Webster's Pages Lace Ribbon. The birds were cut from SEI Field Notes paper. The sentiment stamps are Tim Holtz.
