Happy New Year!

Just about everyone takes a picture on New Years, to document that you were having fun & who with!  I'm a photo addict, adore my camera & collect vintage ones!  Today I'm sharing a craft that was inspired by a project I ran across at Two Peas In A Bucket.  It provided a link to dreamieland blog that included a tutorial.

Super cute, right?  I decided to try this with a more vintage look, which was accomplished with the help of Graphic 45 paper, Vintaj brass, & Unity stamps.

I won't lie, the bellows were tricky.  Her instructions have a pattern to print out.  The folding was easy, but the taping was a bugger.  I used electrical tape, which was a bit thick & bulky.  Another attempt at this might be in my future using a thinner, yet super soft & flexible tape.  Her corners came out perfectly folded, mine were more square.

I made mine out of a DieCutsWithAView card box.  Once empty, I decided it would make great storage for all my A2 envelops!  So this project makes a useful & cute way to keep a product I use almost daily handy.

The lense is an old ribbon round cover with the inside top cut off with a razor.  I circle punched the "glass" our of some medium thickness acrylic from product packaging.  It was glued in with CTMH liquid glass.  The Framed Scrollwork fit perfectly & was adhered with E6000(a crafter's best friend).  I also snipped apart a Beaded Border so that some gems would fit in.  All gems were glued down with tacky glue.  I just don't rely on the sticky back and have had crafts were my jewels fell off.  Irritating!  The lattice Kraft color adhesive border is CTMH.

I used the word portion of Unity's Snapshots stamp.  The fauceted beads were wired on with Vintaj brass & jump rings.  The multi-layer tag was strung on black embroidery floss.

Now here is my favorite part....A SECRET MESSAGE!  Inside the lens I stamped a special message.  It's hard to capture for YOU to see here.  But I think you can see a small glimpse.

"MAKE EVERYDAY THE BEST"

This Ippity stamp set is called So This Is Love.

Color It In

I'm new to coloring in stamped images.  From the few that I have done, it seems like a great way to enhance the project.  Here is a cute little dollar stamp from Inkadinkado.  A few little dabs of color make all the difference.

I made three colored die cuts using the Elegant Cakes cartridge.  Those adhesive Kraft borders from Close To My Heart have been indispensable since the day I got them.

This makes me dream of summer! (sigh)

Totally Happy

Every once in a while, a challenge pushes me as a scrapper.  Stamping background paper takes more time than just pulling a pretty sheet out of the stash.  The reward, however, is priceless.  Two Peas In A Bucket offered a class lesson in stamping including a video.

I used Unity's (Ippity) stamp called Totally Happy in a great array of colors!  This, matched up with Cosmo Crickets's Delovely kit, was the perfect combo.

I glittered the edges of the framed phrase.

I gave the sweet chippy flowers ribbons.

Marshal's age was recorded, so I'll never forget the important fact.

This page was so fun because the colors were bright & fabulous!

Who knew a boy page could have pink & rainbows on it?!

Chick Challenge

Here is my submission for the card sketch at Chick Challenges. I chose a unique color combo!

I used a pretty new doily from Little Yellow Bicycle.  A sponge & some CTMH Ocean d ink gave it a little color.  The Ippity stamp is You Deserve...  The paper is Webster's Pages.  I omitted the sentiment, since I don't have a lot of Ippity ones.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please check my blog on New Years day for an unusual craft creation that you won't want to miss!

N*O*E*L

Sneaking in a another Christmas craft, here is an upcylced bottle cap set of magnets.  The Close To My Heart letter stamps are a two step set.  I 3D pop dotted the cardstock punched circles and glued them in, since the caps had a waxy finish inside.

Thanks for swinging by & have a Merry Christmas Eve!

Echo Park Christmas

I made a page using two different paper lines from Echo Park.  (For the Record & Season's Greetings)

I did a little stamping by the poinsettias.  Aren't those swirls dreamy!  It's a Unity stamp called Learn Discover Grow.  This is one of those super versatile stamps.  Then I hand cut the large & mini poinsettias from E.P. patterned paper.  The punch from Martha Stewart made cute little holly leaves.  A few gems & the year finished it off.

Now, here a few bonus Echo Park creations! Just in case YOU are an Echo Park fan too.

Rough & Ready

This layout if for the Webster's Pages InspireMe monthly challenge.  It requires using the Western Romance and fancy pins.  I was in luck, since I recently won BOTH from Two Peas In A Bucket.

The blue background circle, boots, "live free" and flowers were all cut from W.P. paper.  The "Rough & Ready" is from the Old West Cricut cartridge.  I glued on brown hemp for rope.  That fabulous brown & white trim is also Webster's Pages.

The best part of the layout is my little guy's dirty face!  Such a true, grubby cowboy!

Dirt Bike

Teen pages are hard because a mother can only TRY to make them cool.  Here is my attempt to highlight a macho photo of my oldest on his sweet ride.

I followed the sketch at Two Peas In A Bucket for the weekly scrapbook challenge.  It was a good way to use up an assortment of vintage buttons that I have hoarded.  The background paper is from a DCWV photo-real stack.  The other supplies are all Echo Park.  The paper is from the For The Record kit.  The stickers are from Apothecary Emporium (Halloween).

Gift Card Holder

I'm playing along over at Two Peas In A Bucket.  They have online classes and helpful videos for members.  The idea for this week was to create a card that could double as a gift card holder.

I thought this one would be fun to stick an Itunes card in. The cute little kraft bags are from Etsy since I couldn't seem to get them anywhere else.  Both papers are from Echo Park's For The Record pack.  The edge punch is EK Success.  The groovy stamps are Close To My Heart.

Trio

I made a trio of ornaments.  First I stamped on birch bark, then I cut it out.  Finally, I added words.  They were hung with twine.  The frame is Unity stamp company.  The letter stamps are Close To My Heart.

TAGS

I made a great many tags using Unity Stamps.  I'm not a cookie cutter person that mass produces often, but these were kind of addictive.

That cute Itty Bitty stamp is part of a three pack of tickets.  I love that this one states "NO PEEKING".

Do you make Christmas tags?  I reuse gift bags from last year, so then I rip off the original tag & add a cute one of my own.
