Mom Cards

I have a handful of Mother's Day cards to show you.
I only have one mom, but make plenty to sell.
They all feature the Prima Hello Pastel paper.

The flowers on the card above were made on my
new Sizzix Big Shot using the Tim Holtz Tattered
Floral die cut.

Most of these stamps were in a mom theme kit
that I got at a garage sale!  It was a steal.

The leaf & bike stamps below are Unity brand.

You're the best ~Mom

I've been cranking out the Mother's Day cards
trying to stock up for my craft booth.
I had great sales on the cards last year for that holiday,
so starting now is mandatory!
Especially since my greenhouse job gets
pretty busy around that time
and my card production drops!
Even March of this year has been great.
I sold a whopping 32cards!

The stamps are from Unity's Kit Of The Month (4/12).
Those little cherries are so cute,
I colored them with Copic markers.

Stay tuned to my blog for oodles of card
inspiration.  I just went on a craft retreat &
whipped out over 30 cards!

Well Worn Layout

I love Tim Holtz paper,
it's so vintage & worn looking.
Here is a layout featuring some
of his products...

The barn background at momma's
house worked well with the brown
tones of the paper & vintage printed
paper cut outs. (Bingo, etc)

I punched scallop circles & cut them in half.
The border got distress ink edges.

The stamp is Close To My Heart.
Three flower gems help draw your eye to it!

My shirt was red, so I added a few hints
of that throughout the layout.
(matting & sticky lace ribbon)
The yellow Petaloo flowers also added
color. (from drab to fab)

West Coast Layout

I'm sharing a layout today that is kind of gross.

Do

you

 still

want

 to

see

it?

I thought you'd be a little curious!

What?
You don't think it's gross?

Well, maybe a close up will reveal more.

That wall behind the boys is covered in...
chewing gum.

Don't believe me?
Here is the history of this disgusting tourist attraction:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/jeanineanderson/2843079897/
Only in the USA, right?
I used Tim Holtz Americana Blueprint word stamp
and colored it in with Copic markers.
The flag is from his Mini Blueprints 2 set.
The paint splatters are from the Spills and Splatters.
You can buy all these sets from the Funkie Junkie Boutique.

There are three strips of tape shown here.
(I'm trying to keep up with the trends)

I did some clear embossing on this dry embossed brick wall paper.
There is a great tutorial on the Frilly and Funkie blog.

Hand Cut Flowers

It's Friends With Flair over at the Unity blog today.
So I'm sharing a card that uses the flowers from a
stamp set called You + Me= Happiness.
The sentiment is from Just Wanted To Say.

Those flowers are from that Authentique/Unity set.
I use them very often, usually cut out.

In fact, I use them so often..
that I got another set (free thru promo)
They're gonna go great with my other flowers.

I used some of the free flowers & paper that
came with my Unity order yesterday!
The color combo here is
one you either love or hate.
Its pretty funky.
Any YES, this is a common card layout
you'll see me use often on the blog.
It seems to sell pretty good for me,
so I make them quite a bit.

Flowers flower flowers, I love flowers.

Mojo Monday 287

It's the first week of April,
so that means it's contest time

The card sketch looks like this:

I chose to think ahead,
and make a Father's Day card!
I used several stamps from Unity,

I used a Tim Holtz die cut gear,
metallic Adirondack ink,
walnut distress ink,
copper embossing powder
and some KaiserCraft foil star paper!

I used postage stamp decorative scissors
for around the sentiment.

Easter Layout 3

Hi folks.  This will be my last Easter layout to share this week.  I utilized some printed paper with rows of eggs, rabbits & words.  I cut the eggs out and the bunnies & added some strips of words.  It was a fun way to use the otherwise visually overstimulating paper! The eggs looked cute all piled on my grass that was made with a edge punch.

The grayish brown background paper is such a trendy color right now!  Have you used any yet?  It's so practical, because you can use any colors you want with it.  It's a nice alternative to Kraft, white or ivory.

Easter Layout 2

Hi, I'm back with another Easter layout.
It's different that yesterdays
because it has a printed scene of fun little critters.

Having the kids this dressed up is worth remembering!
How ironic my paper had "3 lil cuties" on it?
Two bunnies & a chick!
I framed the REAL cuties with paper punches.

I love scrapping with friends, because we swap tools.
Here is a fun border punch (brown paper) from cousin Heidi!

The blue shimmer paper was cut on my Cricut,
it's a rather unusual shape.
