SWING

This layout uses Echo Park's This & That collection.

It's a great kit with cameras, wood floor, tickets, and more.

Here is a layout featuring my hubby & youngest son.

I really wanted to emphasize that one photo.

The fun stickers helped draw your attention to it.

For the buttons, I used the Unity (E.P.)stamp set called In The Clouds.

I like those little stamped paper buttons, punched & pop dotted.

They are as good as the real deal!

Peaceful Moment

Some people don't scrap one photograph on a page, but occasionally the theme may be a single moment.  One moment, one photo.  With two rambunctious boys, a moment of peace is pretty special!

This photograph is of them before we entered a cave in North Dakota for a guided tour.  It appears their imaginations are going wild.  They might be nervous.  It still turned out to be a nice cozy shot of them together looking out over a ravine.

I added a few butterflies with pop dots under their wing tips.  It makes it seem like a fleeting moment!

I tried to keep the flowers dark & as manly as I could.  Every now & then I can't resist using some.

The paper is BoBunny's Ambrosia line.  It is so so so gorgeous.  I nestled the photo right into that pretty printed frame.  The yellow & turquoise kept my color palette a little less feminine.  It worked out okay!

Pink, Green & Off White

The Unity Stamp Company is having a color challenge.  I designed a "get well soon" card using Ippity's Just Wanted To Say sentiment & also their Thoughts From The Past postcard.

The flowers were hand cut out of printed paper scraps that my friend donated to me. I'm so glad she didn't just throw them away! I punched a few leaves using a Martha Stewart tool.  A few gems gave it a little bling.  The background paper is Prima.

Long Love Card

It's Chick Challenge time again.
Take a look at the card sketch below.

For CC27, I dug out some old Webster's Pages paper
called Garden Gala~ Party Lights. The trim is also W.P.
The stamps are Ippity's~ So This Is Love
and Unitys~ Love Life.

I just love this paper, look how pretty the inside of the card is!

I made it a long card for to hold some cash.  It's for a bridal shower.
Our old next door neighbor is getting married.

Man Card

I'm playing along with a weekly challenge from Two Peas In A Bucket (my favorite online craft community).  The theme is to make a masculine card.  How better to accomplish this than using some Tim Holtz products?

I did some dry embossing, distressing ink, & stamping.  The background paper is Tim's kraft resist.  I used 3 different distressing inks of his to give it a rustic color blend.  The card emblem border stamp is My Mind's Eye.  I did some false stitching with a white gel pen.  The "dad" stamp is Close To My Heart, a kit called Wonderful Friend.

I'm really loving Tim's products.  The bandwagon offered me a ride & I hopped on!  Now I have his trendy butterfly purse (tote) too!  It's all kind of funny because my sister in so anti-Tim.

Birthday Girl

I made this card using a fun color scheme (grey, rose, pink), thanks to the inspiration at Hiding In My Craft Room.  It turned out so cute & was very simple.  The Unity stamp on pink checker paper was the perfect combination!

It won't be long and all the little girls will be out in the green grass twirling their dresses at birthday parties!  Ahh summer.  I can't wait.

CC26

Its time for another Chick Challenge!  For CC26, I've used my new Cuppy Cakes Ippity stamp.  Here is the sketch:

I shied away from the chevron pattern in the example.  Paper strips from my scraps stash worked good instead.  I used Copic markers for color and added glitter on the frosting sprinkles.  It gave it a more magical birthday feel!

Doors & Windows

The Unity Stamp Company has a tough challenge requiring use of doors or windows.  So, I made a peek-hole card and used a "never inked" stamp. It's called Beautiful Disaster.

Supplies: Maya Road rose trim, Bobunny paper, Authentique alphabet stickers, CTMH ocean ink

Young Man

I had fun tweaking my son's recent portrait.  It seemed a little plain, so I added a stamped tie!  I know it's a little quirky, but it was a hoot to make.  It just turned out to be the perfect pose for this cute man stamp!

I used It's A Man's World, a recent release from Sweet Stamp Shop.  They have a fun monthly challenge that I wanted to enter in & share my idea!

CTMH Bunnies

Here are some fun Easter cards that use the Close To My Heart stamp Bunny Love.  They are so cute & really look great when colored with Copic markers.  The last one has glitter.

I hope your Easter plans and travels go well.  All the little kids will be delighted with egg hunts, fun baskets & chocolate bunnies!  I know my boys will.

Authentique Challenge

I gave a special effort on this page.  It was a special moment captured at the MN State Fair.  My boys and their grandma really enjoyed the ride.

I used my Cricut cartridge called Carnival for the horse & title.  The paper from Authentique is Uncommon Foundations.

Check out all the other sketch entries at Authentique's Blog.  It's not very often I get to use pink in my layouts (having 2 boys), so this was exceptionally fun!

Sweet Stamp Shop

I recently went on a scrapbooking retreat.  It was so fun borrowing stamps from my fellow crafters.  I was excited to create a layout using Sweet Stamp Shop's  It's A Man's World.  The cute pencils made a fun border on my son's 6th grade page.  Copic markers worked great for coloring it in!  The paper is Authentique & Cosmo Cricut.  I added a strip of Smash tape also.

It's a little hard to read, but I created the giant pencil with paper scraps!  You can't tell, but it's raised up on pop dots as well.
