*** STARS ***

Today I'm sharing my entry for the Unity Stamp Company challenge.
The theme is *STARS*, but that's pretty obvious by looking at my entry!

I used an Itty Bitty sentiment called Celebrate.
The big star was die cut on my Cricut.
The paper is some old K&Company.

I couldn't resist adding some glitter on to emphasize the green "celebrate".

Checker Flower

This flower card was make by cutting a flower out of Authentique paper.  The background plaid paper is so fun to work with.  Can you ever go wrong with plaid?  Not really!

To make the flower a little more substantial, I added another one behind that was turned to show through.  A little CTMH ribbon, stamped sentiment & adhesive gems made this a "quickie".

August Tag

I made my first attempt at a Tim Holtz style tag.  His August tag of 2012 was my inspiration.  I'm still not sure I love it, but with all the work that went into it.....I MUST SHARE.

I've been trying some techniques from Tim's second book, so expect more grunge on my blog!

B&W wedding

Why does black and white come to mind for prom & weddings?  Must be a formal look.  Here a few cards using Bobunny glitter paper.  It is, after all, still wedding season!

Vintage Tray

I have 6 old trays from a garage sale.  They have the cutest flower trim around them & looked like that would frame some pretty scrapbook paper nicely!  So I gave it a try on one.

The paper line is October Afternoon's Sidewalk line.  I cut the alphabet strip out, used a giant scallop punch on the red/white stripes & sponge inked the outer edge.  The flower was handmade with circle layers that I crinkled up.  The leaves were sent through the paper crimper.

The photo is on there loose, with magnet back buttons to hold it to the metal tray!  I love this snapshot of my little guy Marshal when he was little in the pumpkin patch.

Easy Copic

I think Copic markers are tricky. One EASY way to use them is to skip the fancy shading & simply color in a word making each letter different.
I say: LET THE PRETTY PAPER DO ALL THE WORK!

The hollow letters of this Itty Bitty Simple Party stamp word was just right!

Elmo

I love making kid cards, they are by far the most fun.  The card below uses a unity border stamp.  Just a few rows of bubbles make the red paper way more interesting.  Everyone loves Elmo.  He's a clear choice for any birthday!

Nothing fancy, but still festive.  That yellow checker make it way too cute.

Fun With Freebies

I did some cards using a recent Unity stamp prize.

The little smarty is so cute & fun to color!  Don't you think this would be a fitting graduation card?

Here is another card with a fun color combo!  I added a few dashes of color to the stamped border.

Have a great weekend.
