July Tags

I'm squeezing in my entry for the Tim Holtz July tag challenge.
I loved his design this month & did two different tags.
Since the 4th has long past, I'm in the mood for fall.

Don't you just love the dust speck on my
camera lens?  It's stuck inside the lenses,
so a brand new camera is on my wish list.
I'm just making due for now.

This tag uses a mini blueprints stamp.
Tim's ripped paper, sewing & word
background made an awesome tag design.
I only used one main image & dots instead
of all three blueprint images on his tag.

Both the spool stamp & tape measure
are Tim Holtz brand.  I added a few
faint colors to this simple tag.
I think this is my favorite of the two
creations!

Boys

I had a special order for
a stack of 15 cards.
So I dug out some old
Close To My Heart stamps.

She has two boys, I have two boys, and our friend
has two boys!  It was a safe bet that she'd need
quite a few boy birthday cards.

This last card is Unity brand.
I got a little crazy with the glitter!

I love making boy cards,
since that is almost all I know.
I've also gotten good at
playing super heroes, army guys
and legos over the years!

Crackle

I LOVE the challenge theme

It's called Snap Crackle Crackle.
I decided to wet emboss some
crackle stamping in gold!

The Simple Sayings stamp

I love this how this neutral tone card turned out.
It felt great to use my embossing supplies again.
That's why I love challenges, they keep me using
up my supplies & trying new designs.

Accomplishment

Hello bloggers!
I'm sharing an entry for
Here is their suggestion:

Those colors are so soft and sweet,
like spring and gardens.
I chose a different theme &
went with graduation for this!

The books are from the 12/12 kit of the month
by Unity.  The word was masked out of a stamp
I used distress in to shade the table brown.

Here is the same card design in
different colors!

This one is our school colors.
Those cool edge stars are from
There is a faint gray pattern
of the Stars of Worn stamp.

Mojo Monday 396

If you need a card design idea,
just check out the sketch for
  Mojo Monday this week...

I'm cutting it close to the
deadline.  Here is what
was created for the challenge....

As you can see, I flipped the sketch
on it's side to get this layout.

The cute stamp is from Unity,
I colored in the letters with Copic markers.

Spring Bird

Spring is in full force here!

That means less time in the craft room.
But I took advantage of the rainy
evening and made a card for today's

That stamp is from a new set I purchased
from Unity called Blossoming Thoughts.

It was tricky stamping the top of the sentiment in pink
and then doing the bottom in green.  They didn't line
up just right, but no one will ever tell.

That lovely paper is from Prima.
It was a scrap that I had left
& it made a quick easy card!

The lace was a "super score" from the local
craft shop.  They were selling it at only 20 cents a yard!
I stocked up.  It's a nice size lace for cards too.

Leopard Print

Here are a few Mother's Day cards that I
whipped up using Unity's Just You
& Follow Your Own (kit of the month).

Notice the top left card
background pattern
has a fancy scissor cut edge.
I like how that turned out!

The leopard print is a fun modern
look for those fabulous mothers,
just like mine.
