Halloween Box

I found an old divided tray at a garage sale for $1. 

It was rustic & gray, but sure beats

 the modern  tray pricing from

scrapbooking supply vendors. Joann
OUCH!

I thought the dented edges & paint spots

looked just right for a spooky display!

Echo park paper label

 

The only stamping on the project are

the bats around this spooky house sticker!

Those bats are Unity brand Bones About Halloween.

This vintage bottle has an Echo Park sticker label.

Tiny jelly jars make great 3D elements!

I painted the lid with an acrylic craft paint.

The twisty wood is a vine cut down to fit just right!

Teen Cards

Trendy teen cards are fun!
Have you seen the new
bright orange that's hot right now? 
My son has a shirt in this color.

 

The background stamp

here is Unity.

The arrows are from Mr. Boy

and the number is Summer's Best. 

I used some washi tape with a

great chevron pattern.

 

My nephew got one of these cards.

I love being age specific,

then they know I made that card

just for them!

 

BOY canvas

My son is 5 now & got a real wild colored scrap quilt from his grandma.

The decor in his room needs to be phased out & brightened up!

So I made my first canvas project.

 

 

This subway art style art took plenty of effort.

Here are the steps it involved:

Paint blue

modge podge newspaper scraps

stamp honeycomb with paint

cut Cricut words

lay out words

modge podge words on

two coats over entire canvas

 

 

The honeycomb stamp is by Wendy Vecchi,

purchased at Funkie Junkie Boutique.

I'm playing along in the "anything goes" challenge over

at Funkie & Frilly.

 

 



Fall ~ Thanks

I love the fall tones of red, gold & brown.

Add a little turquoise & it's a knockout combo.

 

 

The stamps here are Harvest of Memories (frame)

and Just Wanted to Say.

The faint dragonfly was printed on the Bobunny paper.

 

I used my Sizzix to make the die shape frame.

This stamp is called Everything Wonderful.

The little leaves are punched & the sunflower and

paper used here is Bobunny also.

Card Class

I recently conducted a card craft gathering.

It was at a women's retreat & they slotted

some time for ladies to get creative.

 

There were 20 openings for a purchase of

4 cards for $5.  That's a good amazing deal,

when someone else does all the paper cutting!

 

 

 

 

 

This last card is all stamped & required less effort on my part.

It also gave the gals a very different looking card,

since personal styles differ.

 

The precut process for the other cards was labor intense!

Four circles & three papers for one card?

What was I thinking!?

 

The pink "thank you" was a little better.

I love how the chevron paper & elaborate

flourish give this card a heap of style.

One of my favorite card tips to others is:

LET THE PAPER DO THE WORK!

Great patterned paper can make all the difference.

 

 

Here is the box of 80!

 

Due to extreme heat, the food hall where we set up was rather

miserable.  The A/C couldn't keep up with all the bodies in there.

So many chose to go swimming during craft time.

I can't say that I blame them.

Who knew you could work up a sweat just making cards?!

The 6 kits I had left are already done up & ready to sell in

my craft booth or will be bundled for Christmas gifts!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



Arrow Card

Arrows are such a fun trend right now!

Here is a card I made, using up some scrap paper &

a new stamp from Two Peas In A Bucket

called Sharp Backdrops from Lawn Fawn.

 

 

All my paper scraps were the exact same shape.

I lined them up so they made a large square,

tucking each end other the next strip. 

Then I turned the whole thing sideways for

a fun diamond shape!

The arrow stamps on each corner gave it

some pizazz.

 

The paper is embossed,

here is a better photograph to show it...

 

The sentiment is Close To My Heart,

and so is the plum colored ink.

 



Preschool Memories

It's official:

my kids are all in school.

My youngest started kindergarten this week.

 

 

So I recently scrapped his preschool graduation

photographs & thought it'd be good time to

share them with you.

 

The purple shirts & loud jungle background were

hard to work with!

 

I used Cricut cut letters,

which are just the right size to fit my title space!

 

I crammed a ton of photos on this 2 page layout.

The tag will remind me someday of how long

and what days he went to class!

 

I used a stamp here from Webster's Pages called

cameras & arrows.  You can purchase it through

Two Peas In a Bucket.

I used a Copic marker to color in a few arrows,

for a two tone look.

The splatter stamp is Tim Holtz.

 

The stickers on the tag are Echo Park, 

as is the strip of patterned paper up top.

 

The arrow jewels are Prima.
