For the Frilly & Funkie blog challenge
I "spruced up" a small scented candle
that was sitting on my craft desk.
It's a very simple make-over
when compared to the other projects.
I used Tim Holtz tissue tape (commute).
It took three strips to go around.
I used blue paint tape to protect the
exposed top & bottom glass portion.
Next, I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink
(broken china) to tint the tape edges.
I stamped the star from
Americana Blueprint (Tim Holtz)
several times all the way around,
right on the tape!
I purchase the ink & stamps from
I colored in parts of the stars
using a Close To My Heart
blending pen. You can touch
the marker tip to an ink pad &
color things in for a perfect match!
It just added a little subtle color.
What a gorgeous candle! I love the way you used the TH tape, stamp and distress ink!! Simple, but brilliant!!! So glad you could join us at Frilly and Funky!ReplyDelete

Hi Jane! What a beautiful candle holder! The stamping and coloring over the tissue tape has such a subtle effect. I love that you included a picture with the lit candle inside! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Frilly and Funkie!ReplyDelete
