NEW APRONS

I DID SOME PAPER BLOCKING & SEWING ON THIS LAYOUT.  IT WAS A BLAST TO USE ALL THE PETITE PAPERS FROM WEBSTER'S PAGES.  I JUST USED A SQUARE PUNCH, THEN TAPED THEM ON.  USING A STRAIGHT STITCH ON MY SEWING MACHINE, I FOLLOWED THE ROW EDGES.

THE BACKGROUND CARDSTOCK IS TULIP COLOR FROM CLOSE TO MY HEART.  IT'S A NICE RICH RED WITH A PINK TONE.

THE TITLE WAS CREATED WITH JENNI BOWLIN'S CIRCLES AS A BACKGROUND.  COSMO CRICKET MAKES THE CHIPBOARD LETTERS.  THEY FIT NICELY ON THE EDGE OF A DIE CUT PETITE SHEET.

THE FINISHED RESULT WAS A MEANINGFUL PAGE.  I GOT TO CAPTURE THE MEMORY OF OUR MOM GIVING US APRONS FOR CHRISTMAS.

PARTNERS

MY OLDEST HAS SHOT HIS BOW FOR TWO YEARS NOW FOR WINTER ARCHERY LEAGUE.  THIS WAS IDEAL FOR USING THE KRAFT PAPER BACKGROUND.

JENNI BOWLIN MAKES THE CICLE LABELS, THAT IS ONE PURCHASE I AM SO HAPPY I MADE!  YOU'LL SEE IT IN THE FUTURE ON LAYOUTS, NO DOUBT.
THE MAGIC MESH IS OLD SCHOOL, BUT SEEMS TO HAVE MADE A REVIVAL!  I HAVE ALWAYS LIKED IT.

THE RED VINYL LETTERS ARE THICKERS & THE CIRCLES ARE PUNCHED FROM CTMH PAPER.  I CREATED THE ARROW FROM SCRATCH.
THANKS FOR LOOKING.

PRAIRIE HUNTER

ON OUR TRIP TO YELLOWSTONE, MY SON & HIS 2ND COUSIN TOOK TIME AT OUR RENTAL HOUSE TO HUNT PRAIRIE DOGS.  THEY USED TOY SUCTION CUP BOWS, BUT WERE ALWAYS TOO SLOW.  THOSE DOGS STAYED IN THEIR TUNNELS & TAUNTED THE BOYS UNTIL FRUSTRATION SET IN.

THIS PAPER WAS FROM THE ECO-STACK.  I HAND CUT SOME ELEMENTS TO USE AS EMBELLISHMENTS.  THE VINTAGE GREEN FABRIC BUTTON MADE A STELLAR FLOWER CENTER!

THE LARGE LETTERS WERE RUN THROUGH A PAPER CRIMPER!  THEY WERE CUT ON THE CRICUT WITH OPPOSITES ATTRACT.

EASTER TREATS

I MADE SOME MERINGUE COOKIES FOR THE GIRLS AT CHURCH THAT I TEACH.
USING THE JASMINE CARTRIDGE, I CUT OUT TAGS ON MY CRICUT.  CHECK OUT HOW CUTE THESE LITTLE BAGGIES TURNED OUT!

THE PAPER IS PRIMA'S FLORA.  THE LOVELY SOLID COLORED CARDSTOCK IS CTMH.  I ADDED STICKLES INSTEAD OF JEWELS, TO KEEP COSTS DOWN.

Bubble Fun

My son had the cutest expression when trying out his new bubble gun for his birthday.  The CTMH banner stickers were so quick & easy.  I added some liquid pearls to them & the star for a little pizzaz.

Stamped card

I took a cute flower vase stamp and colored it with pencils.  My plan was to try out some cute bakers twine.
I punched tiny holes on each side of one vase, then tied a bow.  Pink Paisley makes a cute four pack of twine.

The paper is Prima's Flora & that gorgeous yellow flower ribbon is Webster's Pages.

Summer Magic

Have you seen the liquid pearls???  I've been experimenting with them. I've have found they are an economical way to embellish, rather than buying loads of adhesive pearls.

As a change, try adding titles sideways.

BoBunny layout

I happened upon an nice little store in Redwood Falls Minnesota recently.  It's called Between Friends and let me tell you it was a great find!  They had oodles of paper, punches, Spellbinders, stamps, etc!  The store looks small from the front, but once you enter it goes on & on & on!!!  Cute decor & gifts too.

http://www.betweenfriendsscrappers.com/ They have a blog too, which is always fun to check out!  In the store I liked looking at the layouts they had posted & thumbed through an idea book they had for sale.

I left the store with some awesome large die cut shapes and a handful of the BoBunny's Gabrielle line!

I did a page featuring my boys planting a pine tree last spring.  It was a fun earthy layout, with handmade butterflies using the Fiskars punch.  A little ink sponging on their edges & some pearls did wonders.

I did some handcutting out of the beautiful journal card page from BoBunny and had it frame one edge of my photo.  The pom-pom ribbon was tacked on with glue dots. Liquid glue helped secure each ball in place.

I used Webster's Pages flat Sparklers to add charm & glitz.

They are too beautiful!  Glue dots work good to hold them in place.  A few fern sprig punches, a flower, and ink sponged leaf punches finished things off.  I journaled up along the side to explain the event.

THE GOOD LIFE

I'VE BEEN WORKING WITH THE FANFARE PAPER FROM CLOSE TO MY HEART THIS WEEKEND.  IT'S ALMOST PATRIOTIC THEME, BUT HAS YELLOW TOO.  IT WORKED GREAT FOR MY BOY PHOTOS.
I STAMPED THE FIREWORKS ON THE LEFT SIDE IN RED AND BLUE, THEN ADDED SOME CTMH BRAND GLITTER!  MESSY, BUT FABULOUS!  I  CUT THE SPARKLER ON MY CRICUT STAND & SALUTE CARTRIDGE.  IT WAS JAZZED UP WITH LOTS OF COLORFUL GEMS.
THE TITLE WAS ALSO OFF STAND & SALUTE, EXCEPT I MADE IT "THE GOOD LIFE" INSTEAD OF "LIFE & LIBERTY".  THE KAREN FOSTER GEM BRAD MADE THE PERFECT EXPLOSIVE DOT FOR MY "I".

OUTLAWS

I'M STILL WORKING ON MY VACATION PHOTOS FROM LAST SUMMER.  THESE PICS ARE FROM THE FLINTSTONES PARK IN SOUTH DAKOTA.  I KIND OF DREADED DOING THESE ONES, BECAUSE THEY SEEMED TO BE HARD.  BUT THEY TURNED OUT TO BE A LOT OF FUN!  I MADE THE WORD ON THE CRICUT CARTRIDGE OLD WEST.  THE WANTED POSTERS ARE CUT OUT OF A PAPER.

THANKS FOR LOOKING, ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND!

Full steam ahead

My son is a train fanatic.  I had a great photograph of him in his Thomas train shirt, so I wanted to make sure I documented his love for the big engines.

I used a square punch to display different pattern papers from Close To My Heart's Zip-e-dee kit.

I found the perfect saying on a paper full of Thomas train images. "Full steam ahead" is my son to a T!

I found the awesome die cuts on my Heritage cricut cartridge in the form of a long narrow tag.  I just cut it in half the long way and used it as a background design!

A few red gems, circle punches cut in half, & black letter stickers finished my page.

Who - Who -Who turned 5?

I had some fun with the lovely owl stamp by Tattered Angels.  It had such fancy rolling tail feathers, I wanted to use it on a girl page!  My niece just turned 5 years old last month, so I had a 5x7 made of her & my boys.

WEBSTER'S APRIL CHALLENGE

THE CHALLENGE FOR APRIL AT INSPIREME, IS TO USE THEIR TRIMS & HAND CUT SOME PAPER ON A PAGE.  I STARTED WITH THE LANTERN BACKGROUND, THEN ADDED STRIPED PAPER WITH SPONGE INKED EDGES.

I HAVE TO SHOW MY CRAZY WAY OF STRETCHING MY DOLLAR.  I CUT THE BACK OUT OF PAPER, IF IT'S COVERED.  I KNOW IT'S RIDICULOUS, BUT JUST THINK OF ALL THE LITTLE LANTERNS I CAN CUT OUT & USE ON ANOTHER PAGE!

BACK TO THE PROJECT;
I WOVE SOME YELLOW TINSEL INTO THE FLOWER RIBBON FOR A LITTLE SPARKLE.

I ATTACHED IT WITH GLUE DOTS TO AN AREA OF HAND CUT GARDEN  EDGING.

I ADORNED MY GARDEN AREA, EVEN FURTHER WITH LITTLE FLOWER PUNCH OUTS & PEARLS.

STAMPING WITH MY NEW 75 CENT GARAGE SALE FIND WAS A BLAST.

I HAND CUT THE WORD "CAKE" OUT OF A WONDERFALL LINE PAPER.

"the CAKE"?  ARE YOU CURIOUS WHAT THE CAKE SAYS???

YES, THAT'S RIGHT.  THE CAKE SAYS IT ALL.

W.P. BANNER

THE LOVELY TINSEL FROM WEBSTER'S PAGES HAS STUMPED ME FOR A WHILE NOW.  SO I DECIDE TO GO A DIFFERENT ROUTE. I DUG OUT MY PETITE PAPERS, WHICH ARE ONLY 6X6".

THAT'S WHAT SPARKED THE IDEA OF A SEASONAL BANNER.  SO I PIECED THINGS TOGETHER & DUG OUT MY SILVER THICKERS.

I CREATED SIX TRIANGLES, STAYING WITH THE NATURAL TONES.

MY NEW SPRING BANNER HANGS ON THE CURIO CABINET IN MY DINING ROOM!
