Fall Sympathy

Here are a few sympathy cards I recently made,
since there have been many sad families around the area lately.

The paper is very tapestry inspired,
and the colors muted.

The stamps are all Unity brand.

Tim Holtz October Tag

I love all the Glitter Tim used on this months tag.

DSC06998

My card has less sparkle, and more grunge.
I ran across a brass Vintaj jewelry charm
and decided to use that on it!

I used Distress Inks to make a wicked background.
There is faint number background
stamping and a ton of stars.
The frame stamp showcases the brass owl.
The moon is a large flat bead.
It seemed magical & fit the style.

I love Tim's Inspiring projects,
this one got me using my Distress Inks again.
They make some amazing art.

Have a great Halloween everyone!

F.J. Tag #2

I'm back with the Funkie Junkie blog's
famous 12 tags of Christmas!

Here is her TAG #2..

I simply ADORE the scarf on the deer!
So here is a card, using that same idea...

The sentiment here is Tim Holtz Simple Sayings
This might be my most used stamp set EVER!

That deer looks so cozy warm!
I added a little sparkle to him.

Thanks for looking.

visit the blog & check out other entries!
They are AWESOME.

F.J. Tag #1

This is the start of TWELVE tags or cards that are inspired by
the Funkie Junkies blog.  She gets my creative mojo started with
here unique examples.  Her techniques are top notch.

Here is her TAG #1

I love the chalkboard look, flourishes & icicles here!

So here is the Christmas card I made...

I used white Stazon ink to stamp the
Tim Holtz sentiment from Funkie Junkie Boutique.
The icicles were hand cut & the chipboard flourish
was dabbed with white paint.

This is the first of my Christmas cards,
which I can NEVER start too early!

2 Cards~ UNITY!

I've been making an effort to use my Sizzix die cuts more lately.
Here is a card using the Tim Holtz Pendiments die...

It makes a great frame header for this sentiment
from Unity's Everything Wonderful.
The pink rose stamped background is an
 Itty Bitty named Beauty.

Now here is a "thanks" card for my uncle.
He hosts an awesome hayride for my family in the fall.

The kids got pony rides & even dug potatoes!
We have pie & enjoy the family farm house together.
It's a good time for everyone!

I took the time to emboss the stars from Authentic Man.
I cut them out & used cork paper for the background.
Then sentiment is from Music of the Heart.

It's nearly Halloween,
so here is a fun card with
some sparkle.

All that Stickles blog challenge entry:

Stickles:
Orange Peel
&
Yellow

The crinkled ribbon,
 Ippity fence scene &
Unity brand sentiment
make it a festive card!

Unity Sympathy

It's Friday, that means Friends With Flair over at Unitys Stamp Company!

I'm using my new favorite sentiment stamps on a few sympathy cards.  Simply stamping them on some Prima flower paper, makes them so lovely.

Doesn't that look neat?  These roses & peonies worked great, but you can use any image (stamped or printed) as long as it's pale or faint.

Have a good weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!

Autumn Leaves

Our fall colors are in full swing here in Minnesota.  That means those rich orange, yellow & red tones are impossible to miss.

Frilly & Funkie (link) has a fall colors & leaf challenge that seemed like an easy theme.  Here are a few birthday cards using a background honeycomb stamp from the Funkie Junkie Boutique.  The leaves were cut on my Cricut.  I used distressing inks on the background for a cool effect.

Rocks rock.

Hi crafters.
No card post here today.
It's Friday, so lets get all wild & crazy!

Find yourself some smooth rocks & clean them up good.
Then, take out your favorite stamps to make cute little display pieces!

The stamps here are Unity's Bones About Halloween.
I tucked these little rocks in around my mums by the doorway.
Just remember to use STAZON ink, so they are permanent!!!

Not into Halloween???

Try making flower rocks to
nestle around a mini gnome!

Unity Challenge

Here is the sketch Unity Stamp Company has for this month:

They also recommended colors:

I enjoyed this sketch so much
that I made three cards.
They are all on preprinted cards.
The stamp set is Bones About Halloween.
The first two have an extra background pattern
stamped using Quatrefoil.

Classy Lady

Today I'm sharing a card that blends Tim Holtz & Unity stamps!  These are two of my favorites right now & the sentiment went well with the framed image.

The stylish gal is a Tim Holtz sticker, but that Tim Holtz frame was stamped and cut out.  I used that Unity sentiment from an "Itty Bitty" set.  It seemed like the perfect card for some of my vintage buttons!  They added some classy bling to the otherwise flat card.
