It took some creative masking so the leaves didn't cover the printed flowers. What do you think? A few sparkle gems made the flowers "pop"! I'm linking this blog post up to Unity's Friends With Flair Friday.

I didn't really love the pattern on a paper scrap, so I stamped on some extra leaves. Using my Copic markers, I partially colored them in. It added some black, so my cut out sentiment didn't look odd. This card is a good for many occasions. It's from a great sentiment set from Unity Stamp Company, called Everything More.

I'm up late making cookies for the church youth group
fundraiser and had a long day of picking up my kids. They
were in Iowa with grandma for five days & we did
some school shopping on our way home! Ugh!
This Itty Bitty stamp is so cute.
I love the phrase & simple hanging stars!
Pastels are always a safe bet for baby cards
and mixing them makes it gender neutral.
Thanks for stopping by my blog,
have a great weekend!

This challenge for Unity stamp was
a hard one for me this month.
I must have made a dozen cards before I
was happy with one to enter their contest.
Here is the color scheme:
Something about this color combo
had me struggling to create.
Here are a few of my warm up cards:
Pretty plain, I know!
( "flower soft" texture)
Then I took the idea straight from the
example & tried a sunset.
I mixed several distress inks over
the flower printed paper.
I love the smokey background
for a very thoughtful card.
Take a look at the other entries,
there are some really great cards.
first card: kotm 8-11
Just wanted to say
Enjoy this day

I told myself, post this right away
or it just won't get done!
So here it is...
my entry for the
Tim Holtz August (already?)
tag of the month:
Oh wow..his techniques are
a step above the rest!
I loved the distress powder edges & stamping on
washi tape. The sewing, gears & label just
made it all come together in true Tim Holtz fashion.
What a stud. You know; I met him at Junk Bonanza.
He walked into my booth & I even got a cell phone picture.
My husband said " I wish you got this excited when I came by!"
Seriously, I almost passed out. Mario was there too.
He will likely be an "early bird" so go on Thursday to track him down!
Sept. 25 2014. He came by on Friday too.
Do you "dare to dream"?
I never give up.
Goals just change & adapt to my
outcomes and situations.
God bless this country of opportunity &
creativity. It drives me.
I feel free & artistic everyday of my life.
Tim, you inspire me.

It's Friends with Flair Friday at the Unity blog!
As often as I can, I try & link up to this fun
creative party. I just received a prize bundle
from the company last week & they're so
generous and have great sales too!
There are a heap of Unity stamps used in this card.
The background is Stars of Worn.
The butterflies were cut from With Sympathy (on sale!)
The flourish is Embrace You and the sentiment
is called Everything Wonderful.
