Blue Jar

I LOVE blue jars, most people do.  This Unity stamp is from the Domestic Bliss set.  I stamped it in black & colored in the jar.  A little twine tied in a bow adds charm.  The sentiment is ironically from the Unity Itty Bitty Enjoy This Day.

3 Bunnies

I recently acquired a person's entire scrapbook room of products.  It took me a full day to go through and decide what to keep & bag items up to sell at the local scrapbooking store garage sale.

One old stamp that I found in a bin is from Penny Black.  So today I'm sharing with you a card with three little bunnies. (more bunny card blog posts are in the future!)

I added flocking to their tails.  Copic markers made the scene come to life.  Isn't it amazing that even without fancy patterned paper, you can use markers to make a cute card?!

Pepper Tin

I can't bring myself to throw anything away that might be useful.
I love little tins, they have a multitude of possibilities!
If you pry the plastic top off pepper tins using a butter knife.

The adorable spring paper is
Imaginisce's Hippity Hop Dance In The Rain.
The ribbon is Close To My Heart's Sweet Leaf.
That pretty flower was pre-made.
(My mom gave me a pack from her vacation to Florida.)
The leaves were made with a Martha Stewart hand punch.

Cute, right?  I thought so too!  So I made another one!

This paper was made using
I just love those little flowers in purple, on purple!

Handcut stamped layers!

Thanks for stopping by today at CREATE & SHOW.
I hope you start saving those tins & get creative!

Bobunny Wedding Banner Card

I've been challenged (not personally) by Bobunny to make a card that has a banner!  I like this vague, broad opportunity.  Here is my mildly colored wedding card.  It uses the Enchanted paper line, which is loaded with black glitter!

I used my decorative scissors (again) to make the banner unique!  I stamped TRUE and punched it out.  The smaller circles fit nicely in the glitter circles cut from Bobunny paper.  The sweet birds are 3D embellishments.  I added a gem there to add to my lavender color scheme.

32

                                                      It's my hubby's birthday.
I made him a quick card to match the wrapping paper.
It's always fun to personalize cards with age or even names.
                                     The frame is a pre-made 3D embellishment.

Love my 3 year olds signature?  Marshal

Here are my boys & my pathetic attempt at a camo camoflauge!
With warm weather, this was the first time EVER to celebrate his mid-March
birthday outside with a BBQ!

I hope YOU had a good weekend too.

A WEE BIT. . .

Happy St. Patricks day!
I have some festive themed
 layouts to share with you.

This one uses the Cricut cartridge~ A Child's Year.  I made a plaid border using a edge punch.  The dots are on Smash tape.  The tall narrow letters are green glitter Thickers.

Do you notice the little guy eating something?   If you can't get a toddler to sit still for a picture, bribe him with chocolate?  Works every time.

This layout is so simple.  I added gems and letter stickers to my four leaf clover photograph.  It was the best way to emphasize the leaf & make the title show up.

We have a patch of clover in our yard that almost always has four leaf clovers!  If you've never taken time to look for one, it's worth it.

CC21

I love the card sketch Chick Challenge provided this week!
I got busy last night & whipped out two.

I have to keep up, since my craft booth card sales jump from 7 to 17 in a month!
February rocked!!!
Woo-hoo!  I love making cards.
It makes me happy to know people like them enough to buy & use them!

The Ippity stamps used are from Sweet Thoughts of Spring.
The brown scallops on yellow paper is actually a stamp!
I hand cut it out.  That card is my favorite of the two!

Card Kit

A gal from church asked for a few basic card kits, mainly Thank You & Sympathy.  Using printed pattern DCWV cards, I created some already completed examples and precut & stamped all the other contents.  I made it easy for them, even adding the glitter glue & sponging edges.

This stamp is Unity's With Sympathy.

This is a basic boy/girl birthday card.

What do you think?  Would YOU ever buy a card kit like this?
I'm curious, because I'm considering putting a kit for sale in my craft booth.

Road Map Card

It's always worth a shot at the Unity Stamp Company Challenge
I'm entering a card that fits the criteria:
Use a heart (not pink or red)

The stamps I used are:

I punched the heart of a vintage road map!

MOJO 231

Time to get your card MOJO going!  It's Mojo 231, which ends today.  Here is the layout:

I tried to give it vintage appeal with some ink sponged edges, ivory doily, pearls & a cute bird scene.  Replacing the flower in the example with butterflies was fun, allowing me to use that new paper punch some more.

I used decorative scissors around the scene.  The two sized scallop scissors are my favorites!  Do you ever use those old fancy scissors???  It seems to be a tool that's been around forever, but can still mesh with the newer product fads!

HIMCR36

Here is a monochromatic entry for the Hiding In My Craft Room #36 challenge.  It was fun to dig out all my green scraps and see the results of a one color card!

I inked just one of the dragonflies in a cluster off Ippity's Thankful For You stamp set. I added some stickles too.  The paper is old CTMH, some Echo Park & a few unknowns.

Do YOU ever make one color cards?  If so, what color do you usually tend to choose?

CC20

Hi folks, today I'm sharing my Chick Challenge 20 entry.  It uses the Unity Stamp called In The Clouds.  They opened the challenge up to Ippity AND Unity.  There will surely be more entries this week!

The paper is Prima.  The stripes, flowers, pearls & saying are Close To My Heart.  The sweet little buttons are Unity.

Little Deer

A vintage hanger inspired this whole project.
It's so sweet, with the Bambi style creatures!

I made this "Little Deer" wall hanging using the Cricut cartridge Woodland Friends.  The looped edge background is from Martha Stewart Elegant Cakes. The Roxie paper is from Close To My Heart.  Vintaj makes the arte metal butterfly Decorivets.  Please head over to the Vintaj  blog & vote for my project between March 5-9 at Vintaj.  It's #6!

A younger portrait of my niece make the perfect example.  I have this for sale in my (coffee shop) craft booth.  Hopefully someone can make use of it in their little girl's room!

Country Boy Page

I love the Ippity stamp set called Farm Fresh.  I embossed it on this page that's about my little hillbilly. This was a cute memory that I just had to journal about.

He said "Farmers do's this" as he stuck the grass in his mouth!

This vibrant page uses velvet brads, decorative scissors, CTMH embossing powder & a large (punch out) die cut frame.

This was one of the last drives in the Gator before it got stored away for the winter.  He's been asking for it since!
