Mini Album

Here is my thrifty toilet paper roll mini album...

It's a process: flatten, paint, punch...
 design

I needed a spring color project to help with the winter blues.
And YES YOU CAN use pink in a boy album!
HA!

Unity stamps used here include:
6/13 SMAK
Embrace You
Faith
Snapsots
CKU Giggles

Be You

I love this saying:

Be yourself!

It's so true.

I like to remind myself of this sometimes!

Here is a cardboard tag using Tim Holtz paint
and Wendy Vecchi stamps...

The honeycombs are a Close To My Heart brand stamp set.

Can you see the cardboard ridges on the bee?
I had to touch up the stamped image with a
black pen.  Cardboard is an inexpensive
item to use when paper crafting.  It's a ton fun.

Warmth of Winter

I've joined a fitting challenge at the Frilly & Funkie blog,
since the mercury is not rising enough to even register here
in Minnesota!

The first thing that came to my mind for the theme
was coffee!  It's the only warmth in this winter!

So here is a warm toned, pleasantly steaming card:

The honeycomb background stamp is from the Funkie Junkie Boutique.
I used Copic markers to color my cups, Stickles for the steam, a Tim Holtz
stamp for the coffee stain, old paper distress ink, and cut the
kraft color edging on my Cricut.

dream BIG

I've been "dreaming big" this year &
wanted to make a few inspiring little
cardboard signs. One to keep & one
to hopefully give someone else that
magical twinkle in their eye!

I'm can't help but use spring colors,
since I'm SO SICK OF WINTER here in Minnesota.
It's been bitter cold, so any hope of Easter...
and an eventual thaw is very important right now!
(plus these are the first colors of Tim Holtz paint that I've purchased)
I am now officially hooked on Tim Holtz paints.

These two are very similar,
just different gem colors & background
scallop paper.  The stamps are Unity & Tim Holtz.

If you like the cardboard hanger project idea,
follow me on Pinterest or keep checking this blog.
There are more to come!!!
I was a little sick of making cards,
and went on a cardboard project binge.

Mailbox

Happy Friday fellow crafters!
It's time for the linky party at Unity again.
I'm sharing a few cards that are sure sellers
in my craft booth.  The darling mailbox stamp
is too cute to resist...don't you think?

I colored it with Copic markers
and broke out the circle punch.
Why do I forget to use that obvious tool?
It's such an easy way to layer colors.
The edge of the paper was hand cut
along the design edge. The paper is
Crate Paper Story Tellers.

MOJO 327

I love the Mojo Monday inspiration sketch:

That blog is a great help for days you
are creatively stumped
or to browse other peoples cards.

Here is my card, for a very special
young lady at our church that has had
many surgeries on her feet.  Poor dear.

The stamp is from Unity, a kit of the month (11/13).
The fun patterns are Crate Paper Story Tellers.
The gems are Bobunny and butterfly punch is Martha Stewart.

F.J. Bonus Tag #2

I'm finishing this marathon style blog challenge

Here is the example Linda made:

It's so pretty. I copied the strips of designs,
only did them in Tattered Rose color.
I used the Tim Holtz sentiment from

F.J. Bonus Tag #1

I'd like to share this "bonus" tag entry
for the Funkie Junkie blog challenge.
Here is her example:
Since Christmas is over, I made a winter
theme birthday card.  I loved her star
edges & flap style card.

The sentiment is a Tim Holtz stamp from

F.J. Tag #12

I ALMOST FORGOT TO ENTER MY LAST TAG
FOR THE FUNKIE JUNKIE 12 TAGS OF CHRISTMAS!

HERE IS LINDA'S EXAMPLE:

I CHOSE TO STICK WITH THE WHITE BACKGROUND,
STARS & SIDE WAYS DESIGN. I ALSO USED A SIMILAR
BROWN TONE AND SEAM BINDING.

THE SNOWMAN IS A TIM HOLTZ MINI BLUEPRINT
STAMP FROM THE FUNKIE JUNKIE BOUTIQUE.

I GAVE THE MAGICAL BLOWING WIND SOME
GLITTER SPARKLE.  ISN'T THE SENTIMENT SO SWEET?

Friday Linky

It's time to play along with Unity Stamps Friends With Flair linky party!

It's flu season in Minnesota, so I'll start out with this card...

The Grid Alpha letters are shown here,
stamped on a slightly sanded white core cardstock.
Those trendy arrows are from Tribal Trend.
I colored the chunky arrows in with Copic markers.

Next I'd like to share a few tags.
I've become quite addicted to inspirational sayings.
So the Unity set called Lasting Thoughts has
been getting a work-out!

A very simple tag, I know.

But my new years resolution is to send out a
card each month for no reason.  It will be
fun to stuff cute little tags in for each person!
They can stick them on their fridge,
workspace, book, cork board or locker.

Background butterflies are from All About Hope.

The last tag has the bike background from the KOTM 4/12.

(I hope to go somewhere amazing this year, don't you?!)
