Blooming Basket

Check out my seriously original handmade flowers for the

Curious how I made them?
I started with the fan from a Tim Holtz
blueprint stamp purchased at the Funkie Junkie Boutique.

I cut just the fan blade portions out.

I curled these "petals".

I stacked 3 layers of petals & sewed them together,
topped with a button.

They were fun to make. I just love the stamped pattern.
It was a cool way to dress up this basket
with ribbon, tissue paper & some blooms.

  1. OK Jane, that's SO clever!! Thanks for showing us how you made these. What a creative way of using that stamp. Thanks so much for joining us at Frilly and Funkie. Jenny x

  2. I absolutely love your flowers, Jane! What a totally original technique. They are so colorful and cheery. They are sure to brighten up even the grayest of days:-)) Thanks for participating in the Frilly and Funkie challenge!

  3. Oh my gosh, Jane, your flowers rock! What a cool design. I NEVER would have thought to use that stamp as a starting point. You little basket looks wonderful with the flowers to decorate it.

So happy to have you joining in the fun over at Frilly and Funkie this past week.
